Basin Recreation Response from District Superintendent, Matt Wagoner:

Good morning all Supporters! 

We are nearly to 250 signatures - great work and thank you! Let's keep it up until decisions have been made. After signing, don't forget to SHARE the petition link to your social media and with your friends, family, and co-workers!

Shortly after sending my appeal to Basin Recreation, Matt Wagoner responded:

"Hello Kayla,

Thank you for the thoughtful email! We are currently undergoing a strategic plan process and this type of data is critical to ensuring that the resulting plan is reflective of the community’s needs. For now I will forward this to our planning consultant team to supplement their data for future facilities. I know we have already heard some feedback regarding accessible winter activities so this is useful to flesh out that conversation. I will follow up with that group to determine the best way to incorporate this information and get back to you. In the meantime I would encourage you to engage with our planning process through the website at getmovingbasinrec.org. There you will be able to sign up for the mailing list, add comments to the interactive map, and see upcoming events. There is an open house scheduled for March 2nd at the Fieldhouse to discuss preliminary concepts for the Basin Recreation parcel near Silver Creek Village. Hope to see you there!"

Let's show up on the interactive map to view other comments and suggestions, and leave our own regarding a bunny hill. There were already a few on there for a bunny hill, so that was a great start!

I personally will be attending both the Zoom on March 2nd at 12 noon, as well as the in-person meeting at Fieldhouse later that night from 6p-8p. I hope to see some of you there!
