Today, the Indian mobile market gives us only two extremes:

We need a new category of devices:

1. Physical keypad → for tactile typing, durability, and accessibility
2. Smart OS (like Android Go/Lite) → so essential apps (WhatsApp, UPI, YouTube, Gmail, Maps, Uber etc.) still work
3. 4G/5G support → for modern connectivity
4. Affordable pricing → perfect for India’s mass market
5. Strong battery → lasting days, not hours
6. Durable design → less fragile than today’s all-glass smartphones
7. Small and handy → The screen can be touch screen (like Duoqin) or not, but they are small, relatively better for eyes, and very handy to use

We call on Samsung, Nokia, Xiaomi, Lava, and other phone makers to bring back keypad phones — but smarter, modern, and built for India.

This is not just nostalgia. It’s about choice. Millions of Indians — students, professionals seeking digital balance, elderly users, rural users — would benefit from such devices.

Companies like DuoQin in China are already proving there’s a demand. India needs this too.

We urge mobile companies: Please launch Smart Feature Phones in India.

Give us the best of both worlds — the simplicity of a keypad, and the power of a smartphone.
