The Saw Mill River Parkway divides Chappaqua NY in half, with no way for bikers to cross or travel along it within the town boundaries. A protected bike path going along the parkway starting from the Chappaqua train station to Chappaqua Crossing is not only extremely viable, but it would also be incredibly economically stimulative, help commuters going to the train station, free up parking space all around the town, cost little to maintain compared to the Parkway itself, benefit the environment, and provide a viable transportation alternative to car dependency, which has disastrous effects for air, soil, water, and noise pollution.
