This petition is to show support and prove that there is a genuine need for a concrete skatepark in Ronkonkoma.

This idea is a way for us to be proactive rather than reactive in regards to our children’s safety when engaging in this recreational activity. By building a skatepark we are creating a free-to-use, safe, inclusive, and family oriented environment for users of all ages! The park will be professionally designed and constructed with the input from local skaters and parents to ensure all needs are met.

Skateparks are proven to increase health, well-being, and community engagement while reducing social exclusion and risk of injury from riding in the streets. The skatepark will not only benefit skatepark users, it will enhance our community and will be an asset to us. Let’s keep our children safe and create something that can be enjoyed for years to come.
