Good news to everyone: Bayside Council recently released a new skate and bike action plan. In this plan there is an section that says there will be a renewal of the Elsternwick Park Skate Park, which will include the introduction of a pump track. However, this is listed as a medium to long term priority, which means it's at least 5-10 year away.
What we need to do is to respond by the 31st of August. Please write to yoursay.bayside.vic.gov.au/skateandbike
Please consider the following points in your response
- There is strong community interest in a pump track with over 1200 signatures
- The council has acknowledged that the current skate park has reached the end of it's life
- The need for updated infrastructure is now
- There are no nearby biking locations, and Elsternwick Park is large and very well used
- There was a pump track in the location of the skate park before the skate park was built, and there was also a pump track in the Nature Reserve next door before its renovation

Thanks for your support and looking forward to seeing you all at the pump track when it's built
