Dear Supporters,
I hope this message finds you all in good spirits and health. As we continue to make strides toward bringing a pump track to Bakersfield, our focus has shifted to a crucial aspect of our project: identifying the ideal locations for potential pump tracks.
Potential Sites Under Consideration
We are currently in the process of putting together a list of potential sites that would best serve our community's needs and enhance our city's recreational offerings. In line with our vision, I strongly believe that proximity to the existing Kern River Bike Path would offer seamless access and encourage more residents to engage in cycling and outdoor activities. The bike path's scenic route and accessibility make it an ideal neighbor for a new pump track, fostering a vibrant cycling community.
Another site that holds great promise is Mesa Marin, especially considering the recent closures of existing OHV riding areas on the east side. Establishing a pump track in this location could provide a much-needed recreational space that caters to our community's active and adventurous spirit.
We Want to Hear from You!
Your input has been the backbone of this campaign, and once again, we turn to you for your insights and suggestions. If you have ideas for potential pump track sites or thoughts on the locations currently under consideration, please reach out. Your local knowledge and perspective are invaluable to ensuring our pump track meets the community's needs and expectations.
You can share your ideas and feedback by contacting me directly at ianjourney@mac.com. Whether it's a site suggestion or any other input regarding the project, your contribution is highly appreciated.
Reminder: Upcoming Meeting on April 9th
As a reminder, we have an important meeting with the Recreation and Parks staff and the Master Plan Committee on April 9th. This meeting is a significant opportunity for us to present our case and discuss the potential sites for the pump track. Your ongoing support and engagement have brought us this far, and together, we can make a compelling argument for the value and benefits of a pump track in Bakersfield.
Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to this cause. Together, we are paving the way for a healthier, more active Bakersfield.
Warm regards,
Ian Journey
