Southern Gold Coast families need a pump track — and we've already been promised one.

Betty Diamond Park in Tugun has been earmarked for a pump track for several years, but there's still been no progress. Meanwhile, the Pizzey Park pump track has proven exactly how popular and well-used these facilities are, drawing kids and adults of all ages and abilities for free, accessible outdoor exercise.

A pump track at Betty Diamond Park would:

• Give local families a safe, free space to get active
• Support the growing popularity of BMX and skateboarding, especially with the Brisbane 2032 Olympics approaching
• Boost physical and mental wellbeing across the community
• Complement the existing skate park to create a genuine recreation hub for the southern Gold Coast

Council has previously indicated that funding for design and construction could be considered in the 25/26 budget. We're calling on the City of Gold Coast to prioritise this project and deliver it without further delay.
