A petition from BTS ARMY asking BTS and Big Hit Music to join the No Music For Genocide campaign and remove their music from Israeli streaming platforms in solidarity with Palestinians.
The Ask
We are ARMY. And we are asking BTS to do one thing: request BigHit Music geo-block their music from Israeli streaming platforms in solidarity with Palestinians. This is a technical step — an email to a distributor, a settings change in streaming portals. It takes minutes. Over 1,100 artists and labels have already done it. They include Lorde, Björk, Massive Attack, Paramore, Denzel Curry, Fontaines D.C., Kneecap, Wolf Alice, Sigur Rós, Clairo, Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, Macklemore, the Estate of Ryuichi Sakamoto, and hundreds more across every genre and country. BTS would be the biggest artist in the world to stand with them. Paving the way for more global solidarity
What Is No Music For Genocide?
No Music For Genocide is a peaceful cultural boycott in which musicians remove their music from Israeli streaming platforms in response to a genocide in Gaza (recognised by the United Nations, Amnesty International, and the International Court of Justice) alongside decades of occupation and apartheid faced by Palestinians. More than 1,100 artists and labels have signed on to collectively state “our art should not be a comfort to a state committing these acts, and our silence should not be its cover”. When Russia invaded Ukraine, major labels pulled their entire catalogues within weeks. The same has never been done for Palestine. This campaign exists to close that gap.
Why We're Asking BTS?
BTS taught us to Speak Yourself. They stood at the United Nations and told the world that everyone “no matter who you are, where you're from, your skin color, your gender identity” has the right to be heard. They taught us that yesterday's mistakes are still part of us, and that the answer is to love ourselves enough to do better. This petition is not a demand made at BTS. It is a letter from their fans, in the tradition this fandom has always had, to show and give the Best of Us. We believe joining No Music For Genocide is not a departure from BTS's values, but, an expression of them.
Why ARIRANG Makes This the Moment?
BTS named their 2026 comeback album after “Arirang” — a Korean folk song that became an anthem of endurance during Japanese colonial occupation, sung by people who were displaced, forbidden their own culture, and longing to return home. It was banned. It survived. Palestinian and West Asian ARMY know that song in their bones, because they are living its meaning right now. BTS are inviting the world to connect with them through the album and through tour and in turn we are inviting them to listen to fans in West Asia.
What Your Signature Does:
This petition is not symbolic. Every signature is documented fan demand that we will present to BTS, Big Hit Music, and HYBE Corporation, showing them how many of us want this. A petition is evidence — and when hundreds of thousands of an artist's own fans formally ask for something tied to the artist's stated values, that is information a label cannot easily dismiss. West Asian and Palestinian ARMY are part of this family. They have streamed BTS's music, translated the lyrics, and filled stadiums for years — while their homes and lands are being destroyed. The least we can ask is that BTS's music not play in the settler state doing the destroying.
