Stop cancellation of 443 and 444 from 4070 to Brisbane City

The issue

The proposed SEQ Bus Network Review will have major impacts for 4070 bus commuters relating to the 443 and 444 services.

These changes will increase travel times dramatically for 4070 commuters on an already long commute, that currently works well with 444 & 443 services providing buses every 5-10 mins in peak travel times and that is heavily as acknowledged on the Translink site.

Not only will 4070 constituents commuting to the city endure longer times and the hassles of having to transfer buses at Indooroopilly,  traffic on Moggill Rd will increase as commuters resort to faster travel by car. These changes have the possibility of effect the desirability for people to live in this area and ultimately impact property prices.

There has been little consideration for 4070 commuter needs in this government cost saving initiative and further consultation is required with our community before these changes are enacted by Translink to the 443 and 444 bus routes.

Please also refer to the 4070 Community Facebook page for further community comments about the changes. We would appreciate your support in further investigating 4070 commuter concerns.
