On April 8, 2021 the Brooklyn College Tanger Hillel, in conjunction with AEPi and other clubs on campus held a Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) event where we had a survivor speak over Zoom. Our Zoom was hacked while the survivor was speaking. The hacker streamed porn under the guise of a student's name during another student's interview with the survivor, used the interviewer's name to make sexual remarks toward a Hillel staff member, and that staff member's name to make racist remarks to the interviewer including the n-word. As of today (April 14, 2021), Brooklyn College HAS NOT acknowledged the incident, only student clubs and organizations have. President Michelle J. Anderson and the CUNY Brooklyn College administration MUST address the disgusting racism and antisemitism that targeted their students and staff during an event with their clubs.
