Meeting with a subcommittee of the Board of Trustees last week, it was apparent there is a lack appreciation for the importance of Rodman Hall to the community as well as a profound ignorance of the operation of a Class A art gallery. For these reasons, it is necessary that this petition continue to circulate and garner support. Please continue to sign and share! Note: There is a public meeting this Wednesday December 7, 7:00 p.m. at 36 James Street in St. Catharines to present and discuss the "Barlow Report". Unlike the options presented by the Interkom Marketing Consultant Martin Van Zon in the recent public "consultations", the Barlow Report, prepared by a professional Arts Consultant in consultation with multiple stakeholders in the community, presents a path forward for Rodman Hall Art Centre that includes the historic building, public gardens and art gallery. This report, initiated and accepted by Brock University in September 2015 has now been shelved in order that the University has the option to divest itself of the property and remove the art collection to a newly created entity. Please come out and learn about this first hand.
