Dear Friends, Exactly a year ago today, on the 22nd of May 2014, I opened this petition with the backing of WDC. A lot has happened since. We met with BA in October 2014 to discuss SeaWorld, were told that BA was willing to engage and understand the issues and the science behind it, only to be told just before Christmas that BA will continue their relationship with SeaWorld and are ignoring all the scientific evidence that captive orcas do not and cannot thrive in captivity. I cannot tell you how lucky I feel and how incredibly grateful I am for all your support. We've been campaigning BA for exactly a year now and it would not have been possible without you. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all your efforts and support! So how much longer will it take for BA to sever their ties with SeaWorld? While I cannot answer that, I can tell you that we got something BIG lined up.
