Hi Supporters Thank you for signing & for letting me know about your communications with British Airways. The depths of Home Office failures with regards Windrush families are revealed in the attached article. I have submitted two Freedom of Information requests to the Home Office on deportations and they have failed to answer my questions. I have raised complaints with the Information Commissioners Office and they have written to the Home Office instructing them to respond by 10th of July. They have failed to comply. This will now be escalated to the next level by the ICO. The Home Office are attempting a cover up and appear to be reneging on their promises so we need to hold all parties involved in this injustice accountable. I have been in the USA over the past week attending the American Federation of Teachers Congress as an International Trade Union guest. Our International delegation included trade union leaders from Mexico. A resolution was passed regarding the inhumane treatment of Mexican children at the convention which declared the treatment of children, incarcerated, caged & separated from their parents as a crime against humanity. "Immigrant issues have been at the top of the AFT’s agenda for some time now, but family separation and the incarceration of young undocumented children at the border have elevated their urgency to crisis level. Today delegates passed a special order of business declaring the AFT’s “horror and outrage” at the treatment of undocumented immigrant children and calling for “total repeal of the Trump administration’s ‘zero tolerance’ immigration policies and indefinite family incarcerations.” Senator Bernie Sanders addressed the Convention and said of Trump's administration and policies; “He has attempted to divide the American people and bring back discrimination to this country. But we are not going back, we are going forward.” Our struggles are connected and the inhumane treatment of migrants is a global problem. We call on British Airways who have a global brand to be part of the solution not part of the problem. Please can you ask all your contacts to sign this petition.
