Dear Signers It's day 5 of my petition and I'm really grateful to the 42000 of you for signing. The LGBT community including an organic BARAC UK works with, Lesbian & Gays Support the Migrants, are calling on British Airways who are sponsoring the forthcoming Pride celebrations to stop deporting people. It's shocking that airlines would collude in the deportation of LGBT people who have come to the UK to flee persecution because of their sexual orientation and may be sending them to their deaths. In yesterday's update I shared an article I had written for the Guardian about people of the Windrush generation being deported in a mass deportation by charter flight. One of the people on that flight I wrote about committed suicide within days of bring deported to Jamaica. This has got to stop. Airlines should not be putting profit before humanity.
