Subject: Urgent: Jamaica Still Needs Us.

Dear Family,

Thank you again for your powerful action so far. We’ve reached 3,500 signatures on our petition demanding stronger UK support for Jamaica. This is a good start — but the crisis is escalating, and we need to shift into high gear.

A recent analysis makes clear what many of us already know: when storms hit nations like Jamaica, they don’t come singly. They hit infrastructure already weakened, they trigger simultaneous system collapses, they trap communities in cycles of debt, displacement and trauma.

That means our campaign has to be relentless, visible and broad. It has to involve voices with power, influence and reach — not just community leaders, but celebrities, artists, creators, influencers and leaders who can make the issue impossible to ignore.

Here’s what we need in the next 48 hours:

Celebrity + Influencer Outreach:

If you know an artist, athlete, influencer or public figure with Jamaican heritage or strong social justice values — send them this link and ask them to add their name and share it:

They can amplify our call: “The world showed up for Jamaica — Britain didn’t.”
Targeted Push on Social:

On Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn — we want high-visibility tags.
Use hashtags like: #StandWithJamaica #ClimateJustice #HurricaneMelissa #DiasporaPower

Challenge influencers: “Add your signature. Add your voice.”

Weekend Share Blitz:

Use your networks — church groups, alumni, sports teams, community orgs — push for new signatures over the weekend.

Aim: 10,000 signatures by next Monday.

Every share “counts as a voice” and adds pressure.

Amplify the Moral Frame:

Use the messaging:
“The storm didn’t break us — it broke the silence on the climate crisis.”

Use the new punch-line:

“The world showed up for Jamaica — Britain didn’t.”

Ask them to share, sign and mobilise.

Build Visual Momentum:

Use the campaign images we’ve designed. Post it everywhere with this caption:

“When disasters overlap — infrastructure crumbles, communities suffer and history repeats. #Beryl #Melissa Sign the petition. Stand with Jamaica.”

This is more than a relief campaign. It’s a climate justice, diaspora empowerment, global solidarity movement. Let’s get high-profile voices involved. Let’s make the petition count. Let’s turn signatures into change.

Thank you for your continued strength and for showing up.

Let’s go.

In solidarity,
