We call on Mayor Marvin Rees to use his office to protect to the one remaining M32 Maple tree—while the local government ombudsman investigates the overwhelming evidence that the maples land is Council property. 

With the reckless destruction of these M32 Maples, Mayor Marvin Rees refusal to lead has placed Bristol at the top of the UK’s Tree Hall of Shame. Even Sheffield Council now consults with local groups over important trees.
