Hi everyone, I just wanted to send a sincere thank you to each of you who has signed and supported the petition for Waffles and John Buckley. Your kindness, messages, and signatures have meant so much during an incredibly difficult few months.

I wanted to give you an update.
The incident happened back in November, and we are now in March. Despite this length of time, we still have no clear update on the investigation, Waffles’ wellbeing, or any progress toward allowing temporary custody — even though I offered to take Waffles into a safe, loving home shortly after everything happened.

This prolonged situation has been extremely distressing. John is currently undergoing cancer treatment and has been working with mental health professionals to cope with the trauma, grief, and separation from Waffles. Losing Dusty, experiencing the incident, and now being apart from Waffles has taken a significant emotional toll on him.

We are also deeply concerned about Waffles remaining in kennels for such a long period, especially when there is a safe home available for him immediately.

Your support continues to matter more than you know. The fact that over 100 people have stood up for John and Waffles shows that the community sees the truth of John’s character as a loving and responsible dog owner.
