I imagine that Ultra 4DX is the most thrilling way to experience movies in the world. The seats move, the senses are triggered. Not to mention the 270 degrees of vision. There’s truly nothing like it. But for now, I can only imagine - just like many others in New Zealand.

That’s because, as of early July 2025, Ultra 4DX is completely absent from the entire country. This petition aims to change that, by bringing an Ultra 4DX cinema to Event Cinemas Queensgate in Lower Hutt, New Zealand.

I’m excited to one day experience my favourite movies in this premium format. New Zealand has missed too many great films - Avatar: The Way of Water, Venom: The Last Dance, How to Train Your Dragon, and soon Fantastic Four: First Steps.

With this petition, I hope we can finally bring Ultra 4DX to New Zealand - specifically to Queensgate in Lower Hutt - just in time for Avengers: Doomsday, in December 18, 2026. Every signature helps.
