As a longtime Battlefield fan, I’ve spent countless hours exploring every corner of these incredible maps. But after a while, even the best maps can start to feel repetitive when every match takes place at the same time of day and in the same weather conditions.
Imagine how much more exciting it would be to revisit your favorite map at night, using night vision goggles, or to see it transformed by a sunrise or a dense fog. Each match could feel fresh and unpredictable, challenging us to adapt our strategies and making every battle memorable.
With time of day and weather options, the same map could offer entirely new experiences every time we play. This would keep maps interesting for far longer, and we wouldn’t constantly be waiting or asking for new maps just to keep things fresh. Instead, we’d be able to enjoy and rediscover the maps we already love in brand new ways.
Many in the Battlefield community have expressed that time of day and weather options would breathe new life into Battlefield 6. These features would keep us coming back, exploring new tactics, and sharing epic moments with friends.
We know weather effects might be a big ask, but even just being able to choose the time of day would make a huge difference. We’re asking DICE/EA to give us more ways to enjoy the game we love—and to help Battlefield 6 reach its full potential.
