Bring the U.S. School System to World Court for Committing Warcrimes
The Issue
I am a student, who, like the others of America, am presently experiencing an egregious invasion on our rights by the school system. Sharing the sentiments of many of my peers, I believe that the United States of America's School System should be brought to the International Court on account of these alleged crimes.
Each day, we students have our academic freedoms impinged upon. Many of us cannot express our thoughts, ideas, or criticism, thus being deprived of our basic rights of freedom of speech and thought. It's an undeniable fact that these suppressive practices hinder our comprehensive development greatly. More so, they breed an environment which is hostile to creativity, inquiry, and essential learned skepticism, all of which are key skills burgeoning minds need in a globalized world.
Estimating the number of impacted students is truly alarming. With enrollment in primary and secondary schools for public and private institutions numbering over 56.6 million as reported by National Center for Education Statistics (2019), one can imagine the widespread impact of this issue that no one seems to be addressing.
It is high time that we, the students of America, seek justice for the transgressions against us and raise our voice collectively against an oppressive system that curtails our freedom to learn, to express ourselves, and essentially, to grow. An examination by an international judicial entity shall pave the way for a fair and just evaluation of our plight.
The American School System we know today is based on the Prussian Model, which was used for Controlling the Youth. And we haven't done anything to Fix it/Upgrade it.
It's time for us to gather and commit to this cause. Let us stand together to correct this injustice. We urge you to sign this petition and join us in standing up for our rights.
