This year marks the 20th anniversary of the iconic cult classic “The Room,” a film that is often deemed as being so bad it’s good. In 2023, a special green screen remake of the film was made to honor this occasion, starring none other than Better Call Saul’s Bob Odenkirk in the role of the main character, originally played by Tommy Wiseau.

Now, the release of this remake draws closer. While a specific date has yet to be announced, sources who have worked on the project confirm it to be coming soon, likely at some point during the upcoming summer.

This petition’s purpose is to encourage the creators involved with the project, including Mr. Odenkirk himself, to host a premiere event in Chicago for the general public to attend whenever the film is released. Odenkirk is a Chicago native, as is the film’s director, Brando Crawford, who also stars in it, and this event would be a fun opportunity for fans to celebrate and promote this unique remake made by local artists.

Additionally, as the film was created for charity purposes, proceeds from the event could benefit a charity of the directors’/actors’ choice if desired.
