Bring the National Women’s Soccer League to Denver, Colorado!

The Issue

Denver needs professional women's soccer!

Our mission is to encourage and support the creation and maintenance of a National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) team here in Denver, Colorado.

Denver severely lacks women's professional sports teams in general, and it's currently the only major metro city in the nation without NWSL, UWS, or WPSL teams. Colorado is full of passionate soccer supporters looking to transform the NWSL as well as the city of Denver.

Colorado has already produced many NWSL players, FIFA Women's World Cup champions, and Olympic gold medalists who had to leave our state to pursue their dreams on the professional level.

A NWSL team in Denver would:

  • Inspire many of Colorado's talented women and girls to become professional players by giving them access to in-person games to support & cheer for.
  • Bring opportunities for girls and women in Colorado to learn from professional players.
  • Encourage Colorado's girls & women to pursue their dreams of playing professional women's soccer here in their home state.
  • Show that our city cares about & is willing to work towards equality in athletics, by showing girls and women that their careers and interests matter too.

NWSL players promote positivity in their play and use their platform to fight for human rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, and equal pay and working conditions for women. Those powerful messages shape and transform communities, while creating good role models for kids & teens.

Your signature on this petition not only supports bringing an NWSL team to Denver, but also supports equality in sports.

Please sign this petition to call on the organizations and individuals that currently have the influence, facilities and means to adequately support, fund and promote a NWSL team in Denver, CO.
