Today, I would like to give the first update on the Mitchells project in quite a while.

First of all, I would like to apologise for the lack of updates in the past few months. I tend to procrastinate on certain projects and this one is no exception. While I did write most of the script and even began recording the audio, I ended up stalling on the part where I actually review the movie. I can struggle sometimes when I try to translate my thoughts into words, so I ended up making zero progress on the video for the entire time.

With that in mind, I would like to announce that I do intend to finally resume working on the video and, in turn, the petition. Earlier today (August 8th, 2025), I was having a quick look on the app for Showcase Cinemas when I noticed that they are going to be showing a sing-along version of 'KPop Demon Hunters' starting from the 23rd. As you might already know, 'KPop Demon Hunters' is the latest feature from Sony Pictures Animation and, like Mitchells, it is also a Netflix Original movie. This got me thinking; If Sony is willing to show one of their most recent Netflix Originals in cinemas (including ones located here in the UK), then surely they would also be willing to do the same for Mitchells too! As such, I shall finally be getting back to work on this project to ensure that such a scenario happens.
