We have some exciting news to share - Dr Neil Hudson MP, the new Member of Parliament for Epping Forest, has joined Sir Iain Duncan Smith MP in supporting the restoration of TfL bus services in Waltham Abbey. We are delighted to have his support.

This comes after the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, declined to reinstate any bus links to Waltham Abbey, despite a motion passed with cross-party support on the London Assembly, and two separate petitions. We commented on this in our last petition update.

In a statement to us, Dr Neil Hudson MP said: "I am very happy to support this campaign and believe it is a very important one...residents of Waltham Abbey are no different and deserve access to the same services as others across London...you can be assured of my support for this vital campaign."

He has promised to raise this matter with Transport for London, who he hopes will re-examine their position, as well as the Department for Transport.

London Assembly members (including Emma Best AM), who voted for TfL to reinstate buses between Waltham Abbey and Chingford, will also continue to push this forward.

Dr Hudson has received the full details of our petition, including your comments, along with the recent responses from the Mayor of London and TfL. He is eager to take this issue forward and has assured us of his continued support as our campaign progresses.
