For years, millions of Pakistani gamers have been proud members of the global PlayStation community. We purchase PlayStation consoles, invest in accessories, and support PlayStation-exclusive games. Yet, despite our loyalty, Pakistan remains one of the few countries where PlayStation Network (PSN), the PlayStation Store, and PlayStation Plus are not officially available.

 

This petition is a respectful request to Sony Interactive Entertainment to officially support Pakistan as a PlayStation region.

 

Why this matters

 

Pakistan is home to one of the fastest-growing gaming communities in the world, with more than 45 million gamers and a rapidly expanding console market. Every year, thousands of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles are sold through local retailers and importers, proving that there is already strong demand for PlayStation products.

 

However, because Pakistan is not an officially supported PSN region, every Pakistani PlayStation owner faces unnecessary barriers.

 

We cannot create PlayStation accounts using our own country.

 

We cannot purchase digital games directly.

 

We cannot subscribe to PlayStation Plus using Pakistani accounts.

 

We cannot use our local banking system or payment methods for PlayStation purchases.

 

Instead, we are forced to create accounts registered in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, the UAE, or other regions. To buy games, many of us depend on foreign gift cards, third-party sellers, imported wallet codes, or even purchased accounts from unofficial marketplaces.

 

This creates unnecessary risks, including scams, account theft, higher prices, and poor customer experiences. It also means Sony misses the opportunity to build direct relationships with genuine customers in Pakistan.

 

Our request

 

We understand that opening PlayStation offices or physical retail stores in Pakistan may not currently be practical.

 

We are not asking Sony to make that investment immediately.

 

Instead, we request a digital-first approach by:

 

- Adding Pakistan as an officially supported PlayStation Network region.

- Launching a Pakistani PlayStation Store.

- Enabling PlayStation Plus for Pakistani accounts.

- Allowing purchases using internationally accepted Visa and Mastercard cards issued by Pakistani banks.

- Partnering with local payment providers or authorized digital retailers.

- Gradually expanding PlayStation services without requiring physical stores.

 

Why this makes business sense

 

Pakistani gamers are already spending significant amounts of money on PlayStation consoles, accessories, and games. The market already exists.

 

Official support would:

 

- Increase Sony's digital revenue.

- Reduce reliance on grey-market accounts and unofficial sellers.

- Improve account security for customers.

- Strengthen customer loyalty.

- Expand PlayStation's presence in one of South Asia's largest consumer markets.

 

This is not a request for special treatment. We simply ask for the same opportunity enjoyed by gamers in many other countries: the ability to purchase games, subscribe to PlayStation Plus, and access PlayStation services using our own country's identity.

 

Our message to Sony

 

We love PlayStation.

 

We want to support Sony directly rather than through unofficial channels.

 

We want to buy games legally using our own payment methods.

 

We want to create PlayStation accounts that proudly list Pakistan as our home.

 

Sony has built one of the world's greatest gaming communities. We respectfully ask you to include Pakistan in that community by officially supporting PlayStation Network and digital services in our country.
