Every time I walk down Epping's High Street, I can't help but feel that something is missing. Epping is a wonderful place with thriving shops, but it lacks a McDonald's, a global brand known not just for its iconic burgers and fries, but also for being a significant employer worldwide. As the world's second largest private employer, McDonald's has the potential to contribute significantly to our local economy and could even aspire to be the first by expanding into places like our very own Epping.

Epping residents deserve the wide range of affordable meal options McDonald’s offers, as well as the additional job opportunities that would come with a new branch. With the cost of living on the rise, having access to economical dining choices is more vital than ever. Furthermore, a McDonald's can serve as a community hub, attracting more visitors to our High Street and complementing the existing businesses.

Statistics show that McDonald's employs over 1.9 million people across the globe, providing numerous part-time and full-time positions, often to younger workers and those seeking to enter or re-enter the workforce. This can only be a boon for local employment rates, particularly in today's challenging job market.
