In 2021, Epic Games and Brandon Sanderson teamed up to put one of the main characters from his best selling book series “Mistborn” in one of the most popular online games “Fortnite.”  This collab consists of one bundle, that includes the Kelsier skin, the Volcanic Glass Daggers harvesting tools, the Hemalurgic Spikes backbling, and the A New Shardworld? loading screen.  It was first released on May 28th, 2021 and was brought back very often until October 8th of that year when he suddenly stopped coming back.

As of writing this petition, it has been 1,411 days since Kelsier has last been in the Item Shop.  Some players, like me, only just started reading the book series and now are unable to get him.  Other players haven’t read the book series, but still wish to get him because they think he looks cool.  Another group of players have always been a fan of the books, but only started playing Fortnite after October 8th of 2021.  Kelsier may seem like an unwanted skin by the community, but if you have looked deep into it like I have, you will find lots of people who wish for this skin to come back.

Fortnite bringing back Kelsier now makes lots of sense.  After Kelsier’s last Item Shop appearance, Brandon Sanderson had launched the most successful Kickstarter which had caught the attention of many people.  Because of this, I believe the Cosmere is becoming even more mainstream than it was in 2021, so possibly now Kelsier will be bought more than his previous Item Shop runs if he comes back.
