We are petitioning for release of Kalani David’s remains to his mother and sister so that he may be brought home and laid to rest in Hawaii.

We are requesting you to sign this petition to strengthen this case in court. We hope that this will illustrate to the judge how much he belongs in Hawaii with all of the people who truly loved and cared for him and where he lived the last 19 years of his life. 

We cherish Kalani not only as a beautiful friend and loved one, but as someone who impacted and so deeply belonged to our community on Oahu. He touched so many lives here. Currently his mother and sister are in court fighting against Kalani’s father, who is trying to bring his remains to Florida. Kalani never lived in Florida and his father has a well known history of mistreatment towards him.

Kalani deserves to be at peace, in Hawaii, surrounded by his loved ones. We want to be able to visit him, celebrate him, remember him and we know he wants that too. Hawaii is his home, it always was. He deserves to be with those that love and honor him the most.
