The Issue

On January 1st, 2026, Nickelodeon's "KaBLaM!", "Nick Arcade", and "Nick News" among other programs were pulled from the Viacom streaming service Paramount Plus.

We see too often streaming services pull shows from their lineup as an excuse to weed out less successful offerings and avoid paying residuals for them. Paramount Plus has slowly become more guilty of this problem. The three shows mentioned above are all high quality programs deserving of being seen and introduced to new audiences on a modern streaming platform. In spite of some of their copyright issues.

Paramount Plus suffers from a lack of content diversification and titles that audiences want to see. The main objective of this petition is to show the higher ups at Viacom that these three shows are not a waste and there is consumer interest that makes hosting them on the service justified. One justification for there inclusion is their quality. Paramount Plus rips of these shows possess greater visual fidelity than what's available online. Hosting the shows on a streaming service also prevents users from pirating episodes for free which is against the interest of the company.
