Green Lantern Hal Jordan has always been a pillar in the superhero community, loved by many for his dynamic personality and iconic stories. However, it seems as if lately, the character we have come to cherish is being pushed to the side once again and rewritten in a way that does not align with the spirit of the original narratives. I heard from a reliable source they want a gruff, no nonsense Hal Jordan and Stewart basically the opposite which is completely inaccurate. They are having them switch personalities which is a severe misunderstanding of these characters. One essential aspect that has been off-putting is the portrayal of Hal as an old man when there is a young Superman in the new DC.. It doesn't reconcile well and overlooks all those fans who grew up with and are deeply attached to a youthful, vibrant cocky Hal Jordan who's always been close in age with the members of the justice league.

His powerful narratives, such as his epic rivalry with Sinestro, deserve to be foregrounded, not wiped away or still have it but not in a epic build up. Updating the character's age and not honouring his classic stories is a disservice to both the character and his past. Director James Gunn has shown a creative and respectful touch when handling other beloved characters, and we firmly believe that if Hal Jordan were to be reinstated as a young main character under Gunn's direction, it would be a good fit with the series as a whole and the future of dc. We have stuff like the blackest night, Sinestro corps war etc.

No one is expecting verbatim adaptations, but the essence and vibrancy of Hal's character should remain the same. Let us bring justice to the character of Green Lantern Hal Jordan, the hero of many generations. We have 2 already at the moment that are old, why not have hal and john both young. We hal fans never win, all i ask is for hal jordan, to bring him into the spotlight in his prime, its what all the fans want James Gunn. Many fans believe hal is the best suited main lantern for an entire cinematic universe and has proven to be in comic books and animated series.
