On March 11, 2025, Philippines former President Rodrigo Duterte was arrested and is currently en route to The Hague to face charges before the ICC. We firmly believe that this arrest:

The victims of these crimes are not the main concerns of the people who filed the case against President Duterte but rather it's for their own personal revenge and personal agenda. 

The arrest clearly violates the constitutional rights of President Duterte 

The Philippines is no longer a party to the Rome Statute after its withdrawal from the ICC in 2019.

OUR DEMAND TO THE ICC and CURRENT ADMINISTRATION OF THE PHILIPPINES GOVERNMENT

1. Take all necessary legal and political steps to secure the immediate release of President Rodrigo Duterte and ensure his safe return to the Philippines.

2. Immediately challenge the legality of this arrest in the Supreme Court of the Philippines.

These people who are responsible for filing, processing the case against Tatay Digong may have cleaned their hands by offering justice nonetheless but where is the cloth they used to wipe their hands? Not all that appears clean are free from stain.
