The Case
For decades, American driving enthusiasts have watched from the sidelines as Europe enjoyed one of the most compelling vehicles Volkswagen has ever built: a genuine performance wagon with the heart of a Golf R. The combination of turbocharged power, all-wheel drive, and true cargo versatility represents something the modern American market has been steadily starved of.
We love the practicality. We refuse to give up the driving experience.
Why Now
The crossover and SUV have come to dominate American roads, sold to us as the only "sensible" choice for families and active lifestyles. But sensible has come to mean tall, heavy, numb, and interchangeable. Enthusiasts who need space for children, gear, dogs, and weekend adventures are told our only options are lifted appliances with a commanding view and little else.
We reject that false choice.
