Update on Hernandez! 

The next board meeting is Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. All alumni, students and parents are welcome to come and show support to H and speak if you’d like to!

Anyone can write a letter! It can also be in Spanish if a parent would like to do that!

Thank you all for your continued support on this matter!

Daniel Hernandez has been the theatre teacher and drama club sponsor at Moon Valley for 4 years now, he has recently lost his position on campus. 

Without Hernandez, Moon valley has lost both a teacher and sponsor— the club nor class can no longer operate without a director leaving students without a fall show this coming month. 

Sign off in hopes of getting Hernandez his position back at Moon valley and to allow the theatre department to continue creating performances for the campus.

As a prior student of Hernandez, he has always been passionate about his creative process and involving all students in everything the theatre department provides. From constantly hosting fundraisers, free events, open calls, and opportunities for students to explore all aspects of theatre—it has always been his top priority to make his space a safe one. 

Moon valley would be losing a great deal of creativity in its campus if it were to let Hernandez go without considering all he does for them. Especially letting him go without the opportunity to say goodbye to his students. The annual fall show, haunted house, spring show, and end of year show have all been postponed until further notice.
