We’re locals with a passion for climbing, community, and active living - and we’ve created BouldHaven, Noosa’s first indoor bouldering gym.

The business is ready. The plans are in place. We’ve found the perfect location. But we can’t open the doors without your support. With the perfect location locked in, we now need council approval to rezone it. The more local signatures we gather, the stronger our case becomes.


What is Bouldering?

Bouldering is a form of rock climbing done on short walls without ropes or harnesses, using padded mats for safety. It’s fun, social, and accessible - perfect for beginners and challenging enough for seasoned climbers.


Why BouldHaven Matters

What We Need

We’re seeking community support to present to Noosa Council as part of a formal rezoning application for our proposed location in the Noosa industrial precinct. While some businesses choose to bypass proper channels, we’re committed to doing things the right way, working within council regulations to ensure everything is fully approved and compliant. Council support is a vital step in securing planning permission and engaging the broader community.

Additional Information

While we’re not sharing the exact address publicly just yet (just to protect the business during this phase), we can let you know that the proposed location is a warehouse in the industrial precinct in Noosa. It’s currently zoned as Low Impact Industry, and is part of a shared complex that’s already home to other retail and indoor recreation businesses.

We’re simply looking to reinstate a 'Sport and Recreation' zoning for the space – which, interestingly, it used to have in the past. This change would allow us to build a bouldering gym that meets the growing demand from locals who currently have to drive ~40 minutes south every time they want to climb.

The warehouse already meets all the height requirements for indoor climbing – no need for any structural changes. We're not doing any underground works either – it’s a very straightforward fit-out, just adding internal climbing walls.

The existing complex already accommodates signage for each business. We’d simply be placing a standard banner-style sign in line with what’s already there – nothing oversized or intrusive.

We're leasing the property, not purchasing, so this isn’t about capitalising on resale value. We’re climbers ourselves, and this initiative is completely community-driven – focused on improving access to recreational activities in the Northern Sunshine Coast.

And just to add – it’s really just the two of us, my partner and I, behind this. We’re not a big company, just two passionate locals trying to create something meaningful for the community we love.
