The Issue

We, the passionate and dedicated community of BloodHunt fans, are coming together to fight for the return of this incredible game. It’s 2025, and BloodHunt still has the potential to be the most iconic vampire shooter of its time, but we need Sharkmob to hear us.

The early struggles of BloodHunt weren’t due to a lack of interest or a failed concept; they were the result of unfortunate timing and external factors that were beyond the developers’ control. The pandemic, global chip shortages, scalpers, and a lack of Xbox support all played a huge role in limiting the game’s potential during its critical launch phase.

The Pandemic:

When BloodHunt first launched, the world was in the midst of a global pandemic, which disrupted both the gaming industry and the daily lives of potential players. With lockdowns and travel restrictions in place, many gamers found it difficult to even get their hands on the necessary hardware to play the game, let alone enjoy it with a thriving community.

Chip Shortage & Scalpers:

The worldwide chip shortage, which has lasted for several years, made it almost impossible for many players to find gaming consoles like the PS5 or build/upgrade their PCs to play BloodHunt. On top of that, scalpers took advantage of the limited availability by buying up stock and reselling it at inflated prices, further restricting access to the game. This left a large portion of potential players without the hardware they needed to enjoy BloodHunt, significantly limiting its player base.

Lack of Xbox Support:

At launch, BloodHunt was only available on PS5 and PC, excluding a massive portion of potential players who only owned an Xbox. This lack of Xbox support severely hindered the game’s reach and prevented it from attracting a broader, more diverse player base.

DLC, New Maps, and Paid Content:

In addition to these obstacles, BloodHunt missed the opportunity to expand and thrive through regular DLC, new maps, and paid content. Ongoing updates are crucial for keeping players engaged and ensuring a game’s long-term success. Without new content, BloodHunt struggled to maintain its momentum, and player numbers began to fluctuate. The addition of fresh DLC, new maps, and exclusive paid content could have reignited interest in the game and attracted new players, but it wasn’t given the chance.

The Path Forward:

Now that we are in 2025, the gaming landscape has largely returned to normal. PS5 consoles are more accessible, chip shortages have eased, and more players are able to enjoy the game. The BloodHunt community still exists, and it has the potential to grow even further with the right support. With the addition of DLC, new maps, paid content, and a much-needed Xbox release, BloodHunt could easily become the biggest vampire shooter of its time.

Sharkmob, please hear the plea of your dedicated fanbase. BloodHunt has immense potential, and with the right attention, it could become a massive success. This game is too beautiful and well-crafted to be left on the shelf. It’s time to give BloodHunt a second chance and bring it back to life. We, the fans, are ready to fight for it—please, help us revive this amazing game.

Join us in making our voices heard, and together we can bring BloodHunt back to life.
