We are told by faculty and administration that nursing school is such a meaningful attainment, yet we only have the option to preemptively walk with a class that is not our own on a timetable that is not reflective of our BSN conclusion. Many of us are from out-of-state, out-of-country, rural communities, or at least would have loved ones coming from afar. Some of us are graduating from college for the first time generationally. Getting our families together to mark and celebrate our actual closing would mean a great deal. As those that attended know, the White Coat Ceremony was a disaster, so coalesced with our lack of convocation, many folks are feeling rather undervalued.

We're asking for this because we believe in having the opportunity to formally recognize our achievement with the faculty that has guided us and the family and friends that have supported us. 

Together we ask for the return of the Summer Convocation.
