I live in Goregaon, Mumbai and my office is in Lower Parel, Mumbai.

When I started this job, I used to travel on an uber bike from my home to the office.

Multiple collegaues of mine, reside in the suburban areas and have to travel to office on the town side. Millions of people have to commute more than 20-30kms in a day.

Top 10% earning individuals take private vehicles.

Lower 50% of the population takes public buses of trains.

The remaining 40% people who earn anywhere between 30k to 70k prefer comfort and convenience but also factor in cost as a major deal breaker.

As a person who falls in this bracket, for 6 months I reached office in time, at reasonable cost.

And thousands like me used the app based bike services for transport. Now they cannot stretch their budget to cabs and taxis as their fares have skyrocketed.

And we are all forced to travel by locals and buses where there is no space left for even the drivers and conductors.
