The Vegatsu was a plant based staple. Dining out as a vegan has always had its challenges but Wagamama was always a solid option due to their extensive range of vegan options. In 2021, the chain said they aimed to make their menu 50% plant based as part of their commitment to sustainability. Since then, they have removed their pledge and many of their vegan items. Beside the vegatsu, they have also removed the vegan k-dogs and the vegan chicken. This is a huge blow to vegans and people seeking out more plant-based options. It's been incredibly disappointing to see them remove a vegan classic. We want to see the vegatsu back on the Wagamamas menu in 2026!
