The 2024/25 football season, saw a dramatic change in The UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League where the group stages got abolished. We were now given this stupid new league system format which saw us now playing 8 teams in the league phase with no home and awayband only playing each team once. How does that make any sense? There was absolutely nothing wrong with the group stages format that existed for many years. Don't fix what is not broken. 

There was home and away and it was more straight forward, fair and fun. This new league format makes absolutely 0 sense. And the league phases will carry onto January with two legged play off ties to get into the round of 16 which will cause more injuries onto the players.

I also liked the idea of dropping down from The Champions League down to The Europa League. And dropping down from The Europa League, to the Conference League to have a 2nd shot at glory in Europe. That is all gone now. 

UEFA clearly don't care about us the fans and it's all about money money money. I want my team to play another team home and away. Incase we lose the 1st game, we have a 2nd chance to get revenge in the return fixture. Not just playing a team once. Stop trying to destroy our beautiful game. Give us back the group stage with home and away games. Absolute joke.
