Hello all. My name is Lauren Perez and I am just one of the many citizens in the United States who are being affected by the loss of the Teriyaki Chicken and Broccoli Bowl from Panera. 

Panera has recently removed this bowl from their menu (April 4, 2024). The reasons for this are unknown; this was an item that was highly valued by all customers.

I would like to bring back the Teriyaki Chicken and Broccoli Bowl for many reasons. My first reason is that the extinction of this bowl leads to me feeling like a part of me is missing. I was able to receive a sense of comfort from the bowl and it always felt like a warm hug even on my darkest days. I have tried many healing techniques in an attempt to end this grieving of mine. The Teriyaki Chicken and Broccoli Bowl has won over my heart and because of this, I haven't been in any romantic relationships since the introduction of this life-changing meal. My second reason is that I have been experiencing serious withdrawals. There are nights where I will stay up crying and reminiscing on all the memories we shared. Critics may say that there are opportunities for me to try to make my own versions of it at home, but that will never be the same. I've tried. Nothing will ever compare to my Teriyaki Chicken and Broccoli Bowl. I have messaged Panera previously with a question of when they will bring it back and I explained the negative impacts that the loss is having on me. They responded with "We're devastated too. We'll be sure to share your feedback with our chefs so they know what our guests are missing!" (Panera, May 9 2024, 9:26AM). I could hope that my message changed their mind on the removal, but there is a very low probability that I can single-handedly bring back the bowl. I am a firm believer in the idea that time heals everything, but I have given my symptoms over a month, thinking I'd recover but they have continued to intensify. I understand that the removal could have been due to a lack of interest, so I am creating this petition to demonstrate to Panera how many people love, feel inspired, and would consider themselves a friend of the Teriyaki Chicken and Broccoli Bowl.
