We, the undersigned Carolina Panthers fans and members of the Charlotte community, respectfully request that the Jerry Richardson statue be returned to its place in front of Bank of America Stadium.

Jerry Richardson, the founding owner of the Carolina Panthers, brought NFL football to the Carolinas and played a pivotal role in building the team’s legacy. The statue symbolized not only the man, but also the history, pride, and identity of our franchise.

Removing the statue erased a visible piece of Panthers history that many fans associated with the birth of our team. Restoring it would honor the franchise’s roots, recognize Richardson’s role in bringing professional football to Charlotte, and preserve an important part of Panthers heritage for future generations.

We call upon Tepper Sports & Entertainment and the City of Charlotte to restore the Jerry Richardson statue to its rightful place at Bank of America Stadium as a tribute to the origins of the Carolina Panthers.
