We are asking Epic Games to make a very special exception and bring back the “I’m a Mystery” emote, originally available as part of a Fortnite Battle Pass.

We understand that Battle Pass cosmetics — including skins, emotes, sprays, and other rewards — are meant to be exclusive to the Battle Pass in which they were released. We respect that system and understand why these cosmetics have traditionally been considered exclusive.

However, we are asking Epic Games to consider making one special exception for this particular Battle Pass and bring “I’m a Mystery” back for Fortnite’s anniversary.

It would be an amazing way to celebrate Fortnite with the community and give players who missed this emote a special opportunity to obtain it.

And honestly… at this point, some of us would probably pay billions of V-Bucks for it. 😂 (Just kidding, of course!)

Dear Epic Games,

We, the Fortnite community, would like to respectfully ask you to consider bringing back the “I’m a Mystery” emote for a special Fortnite anniversary celebration.

We know that “I’m a Mystery” was originally a Battle Pass reward, and we understand the importance of Battle Pass exclusivity.

We know that Battle Passes contain special cosmetics such as skins, emotes, sprays, pickaxes, gliders, back blings, and other rewards, and that these items have traditionally been exclusive to the Battle Pass in which they appeared.

We respect that.

However, we are asking Epic Games to consider making one special exception.

Please, just this once, consider bringing back “I’m a Mystery” — specifically as a special anniversary celebration.

We are not asking for every Battle Pass cosmetic to become available again. We are simply asking for one opportunity to bring this particular emote back for the community.

Why the Fortnite Anniversary?

Fortnite’s anniversary is a special moment for the entire community. It celebrates the history of the game, the memories players have created, and the many seasons that have brought people together.

Bringing back “I’m a Mystery” as part of an anniversary celebration would make the return feel even more meaningful and special.

It could be presented as a one-time anniversary exception, giving players who missed it the opportunity to obtain it while still respecting the importance and history of Battle Pass exclusivity.

And let’s be honest…

At this point, I’d pay billions for this emote. 😂

Okay, okay… I’m joking. But you get the idea — we really, REALLY want it back!

We understand that Epic Games may have reasons for keeping Battle Pass rewards exclusive. We are not demanding that the policy change permanently.

We are simply asking:

Could you please bring “I’m a Mystery” back for Fortnite’s anniversary — just this once?

For many players, this would be more than just another emote. It would be a chance to obtain a piece of Fortnite history that they missed.

We hope Epic Games will hear the community’s request and consider giving “I’m a Mystery” a second life.

Thank you, Epic Games, for continuing to make Fortnite a game full of memories, creativity, and unforgettable moments.

We are asking Epic Games to extend the new 18-month policy to Battle Passes issued prior to August 7, 2024, specifically those issued in 2023.

Many cosmetics from those passes, including emotes like "I'm a Mystery," are still completely unattainable for those who were unable to obtain the Battle Pass at the time.

Epic has already demonstrated, with the new policy, that Battle Pass cosmetics can be made available in the Store after a certain period. (Epic Games' Fortnite)

We are therefore asking that this policy be extended to the 2023 Battle Passes, while naturally maintaining a minimum 18-month period after their expiration.

We are not asking for a mandatory return of every cosmetic item, but simply to give Epic the option to bring them back to the Store and players a second chance to purchase them.
