I am a lifelong hockey player, born in Detroit but raised in Dayton, Ohio. My passion for hockey was ignited at the tender age of two and has been burning brightly ever since. When my father was stationed to Wright Patt Air Force base, we moved to Dayton where I grew up playing for the Dayton Bombers Youth hockey team. Not only did I play, but I also contributed to starting hockey teams at West Carrollton, Springboro, and Sinclair. My love for this sport even led me to play for the Wright State Raiders.

However, our beloved local team - the Dayton Bombers - is no more.  The rich history of hockey with teams like the Dayton Gems has faded into oblivion over time. This loss is not just about a sport; it's about community spirit and shared experiences that bring us together as residents of this city.

This petition seeks your support to bring back an ECHL team under the banner of 'Dayton Bombers' by 2025-2026 season and establish a new rink in our city - one practice rink and one stadium rink specifically designed for our comeback team.

The return of professional ice hockey would not only revive local interest in this exciting sport but also provide economic benefits through job creation related to construction work on new facilities as well as ongoing operations once they're completed.
