The Coca-Cola Energy drink was released in January 2020 and pulled from shelves in May 2021, a little over a year later. This beverage likely failed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and no marketing priority. With lockdowns, mass layoffs, and many Americans lacking a disposable income, I don’t believe fun energy drinks were at the forefront of people’s minds. However, now, in the current caffeinated beverage-reliant landscape, Coca-Cola Energy would be all the rage. Not only did this drink provide 114 mg of caffeine, it also did not jeopardize the incredible flavor of classic Coca-Cola and Cherry Coke. There is a severely undertapped market in cola-flavored energy drinks. Most that I have tried will never come close to a crisp, ice cold coke. Let’s leave it to Cola Royalty, and bring it back, please!!!
