As a Bears fan, cheering for this team is not easy. My beloved Bears have not won a Super Bowl championship since 1985, haven't been to a Super Bowl since 2006 and have not won a playoff game since 2011. That being said, I believe our favorite franchise needs a little spirit to get it back on it's feet. I would like to petition the Chicago Bears to bring back the Honey Bears. The Honey Bears were first organized in 1976 by the Papa Bear himself, George Halas. After the disastrous 1975 season which saw the Bears finish with a 4-10 record, George knew something had to change. He brought in a handful of beautiful women, which are in no short supply in the windy city, to lift our team back up. The Honey Bears were instrumental in the Bears improving to 7-7 in 1976. The last season the Honey Bears cheered for our team was the 1985-86 season. The season that saw us crowned as world champions. Coincidence? The reinstituted Honey Bears would provide jobs, energy and pride to our once thriving franchise. Please consider signing. Thank you and Bear Down.
