The tan M&M's, a nostalgic and shared part of our past, were discontinued in 1995. As many will remember, these beloved candies were the original color of Peanut M&M's. This special shade not only represents our shared cultural history, but also played a significant role in popular culture: they were the original chosen candy of the iconic character E.T. in his eponymous film, before it was decided Reese’s Pieces would be better. We believe that reviving these unique symbols of our shared memories and pop culture history would appeal not only to those who grew up with them, but also to younger generations who would be introduced to them for the first time.
