Bring Back the Bell

Bring Back the Bell
The Issue
Since 1854 , the clock tower of Holy Cross held a 400-pound bell casted in Paul Revere’s foundry. The Bell would ring multiple times a day, indicating class and prayer hours. The bell was dethroned from its tower position and put on display in front of O'Kane hall in 1974. In 2009, 155 years after its installation, it was stolen, never to be seen again.
For the sake of preserving the culture, beauty, and identity of Holy Cross, let us reinstate a ringing, living bell back to the clock tower of Holy Cross.
With your signature, we can show the interest of students, faculty, alumni, and guests alike in making this important change, and are therefore better able to make a difference.
