Bring Back Star vs. the Forces of Evil — The Fans Are Still Here
The Issue
Star vs. the Forces of Evil ended in 2019. The love for it didn’t.
Years after its final episode aired, fans are still watching the series, creating artwork, making videos, discussing its characters and world, attending convention panels, and introducing Star to people who never had the chance to experience it during its original run.
That’s why we’re asking Disney to give Star vs. the Forces of Evil another opportunity.
This isn’t about demanding that the original ending be erased or pretending the show never received a conclusion. It’s about recognizing that the world created by Daron Nefcy still has enormous potential.
And that desire to return doesn’t only exist within the fandom.
Series creator Daron Nefcy has publicly expressed interest in returning to the world of Star vs. the Forces of Evil and doing more with these characters. Members of the show’s voice cast have also expressed enthusiasm about returning.
That’s important. The fans are still here, but so is interest from people who actually helped create the show and bring these characters to life. A continuation wouldn’t simply be an attempt to resurrect something everyone involved has left behind. There are people on both sides of the screen who would love the opportunity to see Star have another chapter.
And Cleaved created one of the biggest changes the series had ever seen: Earth and Mewni were brought together. Humans, monsters, mewmans and magical creatures suddenly had to share one world. We saw the beginning of that new reality, but never had the opportunity to explore what came next.
What does that world look like years later? How have Star and Marco changed? What happened to the kingdoms of Mewni? How do two completely different societies learn to coexist? Where did these characters’ lives take them?
There are still stories that could be told.
And there are still people who want to tell them.
And people who want to watch them.
We’re asking Disney Television Animation and Disney Branded Television to consider continuing Star vs. the Forces of Evil as a new animated project.
That could mean a fifth season, a revival series, an animated movie, a limited series, or another format that allows us to return to this world. The exact form matters less than the opportunity for Star to have another chapter.
This petition also has another purpose: to make the audience visible.
It’s easy to say online that people still care about a show. A petition gives us the opportunity to actually demonstrate it. Every signature represents another person saying:
“I’m still here. I still care about Star. And I would show up for its return.”
