Dear America,
About two years, a delicious adult beverage was introduced… a malt, lemon flavored tea, with no carbonation and half the sugar of any of the other drinks on the market- the Slightly Sweet Twisted Tea!
The Slightly Sweet’s were pretty difficult to find, as many liquor store owner’s explained that they sold out the quickest out of all the other Twisted Tea flavor’s. The owner’s said that they didn’t sell Slightly Sweet’s by the 6-pack, this particular flavor was bought by the case & they would fly off the shelves as soon as they arrived.
After emailing Twisted Tea for further investigation, we were told that this delicious beverage has been discontinued! This doesn’t make any sense!
Slightly sweet Twisted Tea’s were everything you loved about regular Twisted Tea’s, without the ridiculous amounts of much unwanted sugar… and they decided to do away with them… as if they weren’t loved by so many.
So to prove to the company that they had made a huge mistake, we decided to create this campaign in hopes to get voices heard & for changes to happen… quick!
Today, I ask the good people of America, to fight for something worth fighting for. Today, we ask you to:
-To assist the Slightly Sweet fan’s in bringing these back to the many unsatisfied customers who have been deprived of their favorite beverage.
-To give the liquor store owner’s a break from having to explain time & time again why they can’t order a popular product of their customers.
-To help us gain the attention of the company to acknowledge that we can not & will not settle for the sugar overload in the original Twisted Tea’s & not everyone can they enjoy the “Light” option (an option Twisted Tea has provided), which is the artificial sugar overload option.
-To sign this campaign & write an explanation as to why YOU loved the Slightly Sweet’s so we can keep emailing the Twisted Tea company to prove to them how much of a terrible mistake they’ve made retiring this flavor.
-To understand that life is already difficult enough these days, American’s should not fall in love with an adult beverage, only to have it just taken away! This is not ok!
Most of all, TODAY, I ask that we unite as ONE.
Slightly Sweet should not be a seasonal flavor, but a permanent option for diabetics and for anyone else who can’t handle all that unwanted sugar in their adult beverages. We understand that you need to change up the flavors, but to force all that unnecessary sugar when they have the opportunity not to? It makes no sense!
TODAY WE MAKE A STAND!!! NO, WE WILL NOT SETTLE FOR THE “ORIGINAL” or “LIGHT”. IT’S NOT THE SAME!
OUR NATION NEEDS OUR SLIGHTLY SWEET TWISTED TEAS BACK!!!
