In 1999, the Pepsi Company rolled out Sierra Mist, the lemon lime soda that has been the longtime rival competitor with Sprite for 24 years. Fans have loved this awesome, lemon-lime soda, made with real sugar and free of high-fructose corn syrup. In January 2023 though, the Pepsi Company announced that they will be phasing out Sierra Mist in favor of a new lemon lime soda called “Starry.” Starry tastes like a complete ripoff of Sierra Mist and is sweetened with high fructose corn syrup and other unhealthy artificial sweeteners. Sierra Mist is one one the only sodas without high fructose corn syrup, and I’ll bet Starry will be another loss to Sprite. Join fans and I to have our voices heard to tell Pepsi they have made the worst mistake in history and to bring back the legendary Sierra Mist.
